Internet Explorer Officially Retired

Microsoft announced Internet Explorer officially retired after 25+ years of service. Internet Explorer (IE) was launched in 1995, two years after the world’s first web browser. Its impact was huge and Microsoft released IE version 1 as an ad-on to the Windows 95 operating system. This was the first of many releases by Microsoft that will revolutionize the web browser experience and take the Word Wide Web to the next level.

Are Passwords a Thing of the Past?

During the Apple WWDC 2022 Keynote this week, Apple provided a vision for a passwordless future by means of passkey, where you do not need to create, enter, or remember your username and password in order to sign-in to your favorite websites.  As you’ve known or experienced, passwords are a pain and you have to remember every single password for every website.  Likewise, people sometimes reuse a password or create very simple and not strong passwords that a hacker can get, or worst of all, passwords are very predictable.  There is password management software to help you remember or enter, but you still need a master password for that, and of course, you still need a password to get into your favorite websites.  Plus, every time you send a username and password over the Internet, you run a risk that cyber criminals will attempt to intercept and steal them.
